I have been dancing my entire life. I have and continue to study numerous ethnic dance forms.  I began to study the art of belly dancing when I was seeking a new form of dance to study. On my first class I instantly felt that I had found my soul and from that moment on I immersed myself deeply in the study of this enchanting art form.

I have felt an empowerment in my life since I began to study belly dancing and I attribute this to the self-confidence I have acquired from performing for others.  I love to delight an audience full of people with the beautiful flowing moves as well as the crisp clean sharp moves of this dance.  I have captivated audiences around the world including Toronto, London, Paris, Egypt, and my home state of California. 

I continue to study taking Master classes in Cairo Egypt from such greats as Tito, Aida Nour, Prof. Khalil, Dina, Farida Fahmy, Mohamed Kazafy, and Mahmoud Reda to name a few.  In California, I am a member of the Suhaila Salimpour School of Dance and study under the famed Suhaila Salimpour.  I also currently study under the internationally known DaVid of Scandinavia who now resides in San Diego California and is the Dean of the Ethnic Dance Academy.  I am an active member in the Middle Eastern dance community and am a member of the Middle Eastern Culture and Dance Association, San Diego Area Middle Eastern Dance Association, and the International Academy of Middle Eastern Dance.  I currently teach and perform in Southern California. 

I love to share this art form with others, and strive to provide affordable classes and dance supplies to the community.  I began my business, Zahirah Enterprises, because of the lack of selection and affordable belly dance supplies in my area.  My goal is to provide a wide selection of belly dance supplies at competitive prices to the dance community, as well as educate others in the art of belly dancing in a friendly and open environment in small class sizes at low rates.  I make several trips to Egypt a year to not only study Middle Eastern dance, but to shop for the most desirable supplies a dancer could wish for.  I love traveling and sharing my experiences with others.
